ECB yesterday unveiled its Quantitative Easing (QE) programme to purchase government debt.
Which countries will benefit from QE and which won’t? Smaller countries with small debt could benefit from the stimulus.
- Germany: Is the main beneficiary from the QE, but needs liquidity the least.
- Greece: ECB already owns 1/3 of its debt market, however, in order to be eligible for purchases they must be in a bailout programme.
